OUR STORY

Born in Portugal. Shaped by Hand. Finished with Purpose.

At Plantpatio, we design and curate plant pots made by skilled Portuguese artisans who carry centuries of ceramic tradition. Terracotta — from the Italian terra cotta, meaning “baked soil” — is one of humanity’s oldest materials, and every Plantpatio pot honours that legacy.

Each piece is thrown on a pottery wheel, glazed by hand, and fired at 1150°C, resulting in a product that is as durable as it is beautiful. Small variations in colour and shape are not imperfections; they are the signature of the human hand.

When you source from Plantpatio, you’re not just buying a pot. You’re supporting a family-run atelier, sustaining a local economy, and offering your clients an object with a genuine story behind it.

TRADE & WHOLESALE

The Right Partner for your project.

Whether you’re furnishing a boutique hotel, stocking a garden centre or specifying greenery for a workspace, Plantpatio delivers artisan quality at the scale you want and with a story your customers will love.

THE MAKING

Transform spaces with Plantpatio.
From the Soil to Your Space.

Quality is a state of mind, a perpetual cycle of doing better. We hand pick our pottery artisans based on this philosophy. It’s more than just a product. You will receive a premium handcrafted plant pot made to last.
Moreover, it is the assurance that the supplier is happy crafting it; that you are supporting a local family-run business; and that you are now taking part in this global cycle of doing better.

THE ORIGIN

Your pot is born in the rich lands of clay in Portugal, where minerals are so small (<2µm) that they form a shapeable paste when moistened.

THE SHAPING

Thrown one at a time on a pottery wheel — a tool with over 5,000 years of history — by expert artisan hands.

BAKING & GLAZE

Hand-glazed and fired at 1150°C, creating durable, vibrant, one-of-a-kind surfaces.

PACKAGING

Each pot is individually wrapped using locally sourced materials, ready for safe transit at any order volume.

DELIVERY

Shipped across Europe with logistics partners who share our commitment to sustainability and care.
